Lukas Nursery Online Exclusive: Pre-Order Your Fresh Florida Pearl™ Bare Root Strawberries- 10Pack
Florida Bare root strawberries are like a "starter pack" for your very own strawberry patch! These little beauties come to us straight from the farm with their roots exposed (no soil). Perfect for anyone looking to get into gardening, home gardeners and small farms. These bare root plants are easy to establish and grow, delivering sweet, juicy berries straight from your garden. They are great for containers, hanging baskets in small areas and raised beds.
We are excited to announce we will be receiving the very rare Florida Pearl™ Bare Root Variety this year!
From the UF/IFAS Strawberry Program:
"Pearl™ is the first white-fruited strawberry or "pineberry" released by UF/IFAS. It is the result of hybridization between descendants of Japanese white strawberries, the source of its unique color, and red Florida strawberries, the source of its yield, disease resistance and other commercial production qualities. It has a pure white internal color and a white external base with red seeds and a pink blush when ripe. It has a distinctive low-acid flavor and often has aromatic notes similar to pineapple or apricot. The plant is robust, easy to grow, and has moderate resistance to most diseases."
Grab 'em, plant 'em, and get ready to enjoy the sweet reward of homegrown sweetness!
